Step One Design has been building homes in the Pinehurst, Moore County area for over 10 years. Dan Degre, President of Step One Design, is committed to building custom homes with a high percentage of customer participation in both the design and construction of their home. We believe that today's custom homes must meet a higher standard than those of the past by constantly evaluating new technologies that are available and by staying current with newly available building products.
We fully support and are certified in the growing trend toward environmentally friendly green building. Various attributes of green building appear in every project that we do at an affordable price. We utilize radiant barrier sheathing, which drops the temperature in your attic by about 20 degrees; On Demand water heaters, and Energy efficient Heat Pumps or Geo Thermal units. We also like to use various low maintenance building products so that you will spend time enjoying your home as opposed to constantly having to maintain it.
Each home is a reflection of our client's vision and the creativity of our designs. The beauty of our designs speak for themselves. We want each of our clients to fully participate in the design of their dream home and each project should be beautiful, energy efficient, functional and should be built with an eye towards detail. We will however, be glad to build a home for you from a set of plans that isn't a Step One Design plan.
